First stop to an archive and time to get to work

In late afternoon we arrived at Elkton and found our way to the old courthouse that houses the county archives. A senior couple served as resource guides and before long I had a stack of photocopies and even purchased a book on county records and grave sites.
The records are safely kept, and I mean safely kept, inside the old jailhouse that is attached to the courthouse.
