The Journey Begins

After landing in Louisville, we loaded our suitcases in a comfortable NEW Camary. Before long we we headed down InterState 65 to our first stop--the countryside home of Martha Lampkin, a Penick family cousin. She lives in a lovely home on a sprawling 'estate' that was nothing less than breathtaking. Here are some photos of the land around her house. It's a great snapshot of the beautiful Autumn Kentucky landscape.
